Job Summary

We are looking for a reliable, highly organized, and detail-oriented Accountant / Executive Assistant to support the financial and administrative operations of multiple business entities.

The person in this role will help build and maintain a clear accounting system, keep records up to date, reconcile statements, organize supporting documents, and provide structured administrative support. This role is best suited for someone who is proactive, trustworthy, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

●       Record income and expenses accurately across multiple entities

●       Reconcile bank, mobile money, and other financial statements

●       Manage invoices, receipts, proof of payments, and supporting documents

●       Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records

●       Prepare monthly financial summaries and reports

●       Support budgeting and expense tracking

●       Prepare payment requests and maintain transaction logs

●       Follow up on missing documents, receipts, and unresolved finance items

●       Help build and maintain a practical accounting system using spreadsheets and related tools

●       Support selected business and personal expense tracking

●       Handle reminders, follow-ups, and general administrative support linked to finance and operations

●       Work with the external tax consultant by ensuring records are clean, organized, and ready when needed

Requirements

●       Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field

●       3–5 years of relevant work experience

●       Strong knowledge of bookkeeping and financial record management

●       Strong working ability in Google Sheets and/or Excel

●       Experience with account reconciliation and monthly reporting

●       Good organizational and document management skills

●       Strong written and spoken English

●       Based in Nairobi or available for occasional physical meetings

Preferred Profile

●       Experience supporting a founder, entrepreneur, or small business owner

●       Experience handling accounts across multiple entities

●       Experience in SMEs, startups, service businesses, hospitality, or real estate is an advantage

●       Able to create order, structure, and transparency in financial tracking

●       Comfortable working in a fast-moving and evolving business environment
