The Business Development Executive supports the Business
Development Manager by driving ground-level lead generation, outreach, and coordination cold calling, setting up meetings, gathering project
and market information, and drafting quotations. This frees the BDM to
focus on strategic, senior-level relationships with consultants,
architects, and project owners. While this is a support role, the BDE
also carries their own mandate: they are expected to generate and
progress credible leads independently, and are accountable for
converting these into closed accounts, working closely with but not
solely dependent on the BDM.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Conduct outbound cold calling and outreach to identify and generate leads within target sectors and industries.

Set up meetings and introductions for the BDM with consultants,
architects, quantity surveyors, project owners, and security managers.

Carry out groundwork site visits, project sightings, and market
canvassing to identify projects under construction or in the pipeline.

Feed timely, accurate ground-level information and market
intelligence back to the BDM to support relationship and pipeline
strategy.
• Draft quotations in coordination with the
presales team, based on gathered site details, client requirements, and
specifications.
• Maintain and update the CRM system on a regular basis with leads, contacts, and activity.
• Follow up on leads and maintain ongoing contact with prospects to keep the pipeline warm between BDM engagements.

Own delivery against agreed KPIs including volume of credible leads
and contacts generated, and their conversion into closed accounts.

Work independently to progress own leads through to close where
appropriate, in addition to supporting leads originated by the BDM.
•
Provide general coordination and administrative support to the BDM
scheduling, documentation, and follow-through on action items.
• As the role matures, may be assigned focus on a specific industry vertical to build deeper sector knowledge and contacts.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
• A minimum of 1–2 years of B2B business development, sales support, or telesales experience.
• Confident, persistent, and comfortable with outbound cold calling and fieldwork.
• Well organized, with strong follow-up discipline and attention to detail.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Familiarity with CRM systems.
• Comfortable working with quotation formats/data and coordinating with the presales team on pricing inputs.
• Able to work both under the direction of the BDM and independently, taking ownership of own leads and targets.
Added Advantage: Prior exposure to the ELV (Extra Low Voltage) or electronic security domain will be considered an added advantage.
