HEAD TEACHER – SENIOR & HIGH SCHOOL

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and instructional leadership aligned with the academy’s vision, mission, and Christian values.
• Lead curriculum implementation, assessment and instructional quality across Senior and High School.
• Demonstrate and sustain improved academic performance, including internal and national examination results.
• Supervise, mentor, appraise and support teaching and non-teaching staff.
• Promote learner discipline, child safeguarding, and positive behavior management.
• Oversee school planning, timetabling, examinations, and academic reporting.
• Foster strong relationships with parents, guardians, staff, and the wider school community.
• Ensure effective utilization, safety, and accountability of school resources.
• Take full responsibility for the school in the absence of the School Principal.
• Location- Maai Mahiu – Along Maai Mahiu–Longonot Road

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Education or equivalent; Master’s Degree is an added advantage.
• Minimum 8 years of teaching experience, with at least 5 years in a school leadership role.
• Proven track record of strong academic performance and school improvement.
• Valid Teaching Certificate and TSC registration.
• Strong knowledge of the Kenyan education system,curriculum and assessment framework(CBC & 8-4-4).
