Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and organized Human Resource Assistant to support daily HR and administrative operations within a busy hospitality environment. The ideal candidate should have hands-on HR experience, excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle confidential employee information professionally.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and employee orientation processes.
- Maintain and update employee records, HR databases, and personnel files.
- Prepare employment contracts, confirmation letters, and other HR documents.
- Monitor staff attendance, leave records, and work schedules.
- Support payroll preparation by ensuring accurate employee information.
- Assist in implementing HR policies and ensuring compliance with labour laws.
- Coordinate staff training, performance reviews, and employee welfare activities.
- Handle employee inquiries and support conflict resolution processes.
- Prepare HR reports and maintain accurate documentation.
- Perform general administrative duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in an HR role; experience in the hospitality industry will be an added advantage.
- Membership with the Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM) is an added advantage.
- Good understanding of Kenyan labour laws and HR best practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HR information systems.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- High level of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be aged between 25 and 45 years.
- Must be willing to work in Laikipia.
