Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and organized Human Resource Assistant to support daily HR and administrative operations within a busy hospitality environment. The ideal candidate should have hands-on HR experience, excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle confidential employee information professionally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and employee orientation processes.
  • Maintain and update employee records, HR databases, and personnel files.
  • Prepare employment contracts, confirmation letters, and other HR documents.
  • Monitor staff attendance, leave records, and work schedules.
  • Support payroll preparation by ensuring accurate employee information.
  • Assist in implementing HR policies and ensuring compliance with labour laws.
  • Coordinate staff training, performance reviews, and employee welfare activities.
  • Handle employee inquiries and support conflict resolution processes.
  • Prepare HR reports and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Perform general administrative duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in an HR role; experience in the hospitality industry will be an added advantage.
  • Membership with the Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM) is an added advantage.
  • Good understanding of Kenyan labour laws and HR best practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HR information systems.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be aged between 25 and 45 years.
  • Must be willing to work in Laikipia.
