Job Overview
The Sales Associate will be responsible for driving business growth in Kenya by identifying and developing new opportunities within the pharmaceutical, laboratory, horticulture, and cold chain logistics sectors. The role requires a highly motivated sales professional capable of building strong relationships with key decision makers while providing technical guidance on monitoring solutions that comply with international regulatory standards.
The successful candidate will play a critical role in expanding the company’s market presence by managing key accounts, delivering product demonstrations, and achieving defined sales targets across the Kenyan market.

Key Responsibilities
1. Business Development
● Identify and develop new business opportunities within the Kenyan pharmaceutical, laboratory, horticulture (flower/produce), and cold chain logistics sectors.
● Prospect and engage potential clients, including exporters, pharmaceutical distributors, cold storage facilities, laboratories, and flower farms.
● Expand the company’s market footprint by developing new customer pipelines and partnerships.
● Actively pursue new leads through market visits, industry networks, and referrals.
2. Key Account Management
● Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including:
● Serve as the primary point of contact for key accounts and ensure high levels of client satisfaction.
● Provide ongoing support and follow-ups to strengthen long-term client partnerships.
● Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities within existing accounts.
3. Technical Sales & Consultation
● Conduct product presentations, demonstrations, and training sessions for clients.
● Provide technical advice on temperature monitoring, data logging, and compliance solutions.
● Assist customers in selecting monitoring solutions that align with international regulatory standards such as WHO and GDP guidelines.
● Collaborate with technical teams to deliver customized solutions when required.
4. Sales Performance & Targets
● Achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
● Develop and implement sales strategies to grow revenue and increase market share.
● Maintain accurate sales forecasts and pipeline reports.
● Track progress against KPIs and proactively address gaps.
5. Market Intelligence & Reporting
● Monitor competitor activities, pricing strategies, and emerging technologies in the market.
● Provide insights and regular reports to the regional head office regarding market trends and client needs.
● Identify potential product improvements or new opportunities based on client feedback.
6. Client Visits & Field Engagement
● Conduct regular client visits across Kenya, including: Flower farms and export facilities in Naivasha, Pharmaceutical warehouses and logistics hubs in Embakasi
● Support customers during implementation and ensure proper use of monitoring solutions.
● Represent the company at industry meetings, trade shows, and networking events.

Requirements & Qualifications
● Experience: Minimum 3 years of B2B sales experience, preferably in medical devices, laboratory equipment, industrial automation, or logistics services.
● Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Biotechnology, or a related field.
● Industry Knowledge: Proven track record in selling to the Horticulture (Flower/Produce) or Pharmaceutical industry in Kenya.
● Language: Native-level fluency in English and Swahili (both written and spoken).
● Skills: Strong negotiation skills, self-motivated, and capable of working independently.
● Mobility: Must possess a valid Kenyan driving license and be willing to travel to client sites (e.g., Flower farms in Naivasha, warehouses in Embakasi).
