Job Description

POSITION:    MOTOR BIKE RIDER/GENERAL WORKER

COMPANY:     NAIROBI CENTRAL HARDWARE LTD.

LOCATION:    BABA DOGO, RUARAKA, NAIROBI
SALARY:    20K


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:A. Delivery & Collection

  • Deliver customer orders promptly and in good condition.
  • Collect supplier items, documents, cheques, invoices, and other materials as assigned.
  • Confirm delivery accuracy and obtain required signatures or proof of delivery.

B. Customer Service

  • Maintain a professional and courteous attitude when interacting with customers.
  • Communicate delays or delivery challenges to the Operations team promptly.
  • Uphold the company’s customer satisfaction standards.

C. Vehicle/Motorbike Management

  • Ensure the motorbike assigned is clean, well-maintained, and roadworthy.
  • Conduct daily pre-ride inspections (fuel, brakes, tyres, lights, indicators).
  • Report mechanical issues immediately and coordinate servicing as required.

D. Compliance & Safety

  • Adhere to all traffic rules and safety regulations.
  • Ensure goods are properly secured before and during transit.
  • Follow internal procedures regarding delivery documentation and reporting.

E. Administrative Duties

  • Maintain accurate delivery logs and records.
  • Submit fuel receipts, delivery notes, and returns daily.
  • Support stock movement within the godown when required.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Proficiency in motorbike riding and knowledge of local traffic laws

      • Strong time management and organizational skills to ensure timely deliveries
      • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively
      • Basic maintenance knowledge to ensure motorbike upkeep
      • Familiarity with Nairobi and surrounding areas is an added advantage
      • Ability to work responsibly and adapt to a fast-paced environment
      • Motorbike riding experience for over 3 year
      • Good time management and organizational skills
      • Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy objects


KEY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
  • Proactive & highly organized
  • Valid motorbike riding license and a clean driving record
  • Nation ID CARD
  • Police Clearance Certificate
  • Car driving license that encompasses vans and lorries will be an added advantage
