Product Research And Development Intern

Overall Job Purpose

Responsible for identifying new product ideas and researching existing ones. Gather information on progress with trials, demo farms, landscaping, and or other competitor products and  interpret the information about the product, environment conditions, market, and consumer behavior to help Organix when launching new products, pricing products, and entering new markets.

Department: Production Department

Reports to: Production Manager

Direct reports: None

Key Responsibilities 

• Follow up on Demo farms, establish product performance, and give reports

• Analyze policies and recommend changes or updates to keep production and product distribution aligned with current industry regulations 

• Conduct market research to identify demand for new products or services through devising and assessing procedures and methods for data collection including customer data templates, opinion polls, surveys, and questionnaires

• Researching competitors’ products, marketing strategies, and consumer opinions to determine how they are selling within the industry

• Collecting information on customer preferences and attitudes toward various brands or products

• Conducting surveys or other research studies to gather data on potential customers’ preferences and behaviors 

Academic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in sales, marketing, business or statistics, and any other related officer 

Professional Qualifications 

• Certification/ training in marketing or data analysis would be an added advantage

• Knowledge Organix Limited products 

• Strong background in data analysis, research, and utilizing enterprise software

• Strong background in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
