Job Description/Requirements

Reservation Officer- Nairobi, Kenya

Our client, a leading company in Real Estate/Hospitality is looking to recruit a Reservation Officer to be based in Nairobi. He/ She will be responsible for responding to communications from guests, agents, and referral networks, creating and maintaining reservation records, maximizing property revenue through cross selling and yield management practices. The successful candidates must have a Diploma in hospitality or its equivalent and at least 2 years’ working experience in the Hotel sector(Reservation).

 

Key Requirements:

·         Respond to all inquiries from all reservation channels.

·         Process reservation requests and monitor the booking calendar.

·         Participate in yield management exercises that maximize the property portfolio revenue.

·         Generate and maintain accurate property performance reports.

·         Collect all funds due from and process all refunds due for guests.

·         Participate in the reconciliation of payments from guests in conjunction with the accounts team.

·         Keep up to date with changes and updates on features, promotions and change of terms of all reservation channels.

·         Upsell of extra services.

 

Qualifications:

·         Must have at least Diploma in hospitality.

·         Minimum of 2+ years of relevant experience in the reservations department.

·         Excellent listening and communication skills.

·         Excellent planning, organizing and interpersonal skills.

·         Sound decision making and a team player.

·         Proactivity in engaging guests and colleagues

·         Technologically savvy.

 

Monthly Gross Salary: Ksh 70,000
