Role Summary
We are hiring a Sales Manager to develop B2B opportunities for energy and power solutions in Kenya. This role focuses on identifying qualified prospects, converting demand into RFQs and quotations, coordinating proposals with internal teams, and helping close contracts through an end-to-end delivery workflow.
Key Responsibilities

Identify and engage qualified prospects, including EPC firms, engineering companies, electrical contractors, distributors, industrial customers, utilities, commercial project buyers, and system integrators

Discover customer requirements, map stakeholders, and understand project scope, timeline, and purchasing process

Convert demand into actionable opportunities by initiating RFQs and supporting quotations

Coordinate with SolutionMall’s internal technical and supply teams to ensure accurate solution matching and timely proposal delivery

Support quotation follow-up, negotiation, and contract closing across medium- to long-cycle sales opportunities

Maintain basic CRM-style records, including pipeline status, decision-makers, next steps, and risks

Share structured market feedback on customer demand, pricing expectations, competitors, and high-potential sectors
Requirements

Minimum 3 years of experience in B2B sales or business development for technical products or solutions

Experience in energy, power, electrical, industrial, EPC, contractor, or engineering-related sales is preferred

Comfortable with consultative selling, requirement discovery, RFQ handling, and proposal coordination

Strong communication and follow-up discipline

Ability to work remotely and coordinate across time zones

English proficiency is required

Existing local network in Kenya is a strong advantage

Knowledge of MV/LV distribution, switchgear, transformers, protection and control, substations, renewables, or energy storage is a plus
Employment Type: Part-time
Compensation: Base salary plus commission, depending on experience, product category, and business performance.
