Corporate Sales Consultant

Industry: Service

Salary: Kshs 75,000 – 150,000

Reports To: General Manager


We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic corporate sales consultant for our client with a global presence. The successful sales consultant will be based in Nairobi Kenya. If your heart beats by the mention of the name sales, then this role is for!As a sales Consultant, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective sales strategies, identifying new business opportunities, and maximizing customer satisfaction.


PURPOSE OF JOB

To ensure effective sales of records & information management solutions services to achieve a combination of key strategic accounts and sales objectives in line with the business strategy.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Business Growth through the achievement of set revenue/sales targets and retention activities.

1. Ensure that the business has robust sales and business development processes.

2. Identify major opportunities within the existing customer portfolio and potential customers.

3. Identify and understand clients’ needs in collaboration to generate responsive quotations for clients.

4. Implement account organic growth strategies and ensure achievement of set revenue targets.

5. Ensuring that pricing, risk, and commercial contract terms are appropriately applied by businesses when entering the company’s Records Management Kenya contracts/integrated records management and archiving solutions in consultation with the Managing Director.

6. Formulation of strategies to manage and develop existing accounts by ensuring that professional relationships Lead and manage market surveys and develop appropriate solutions to meet customer needs.

7. Actively pursue, convert, and close sales across all the company’s product/service lines

8. in line with set sales targets.

9. Take a lead and help the company drive business/increase revenue in East Africa; to help the company’s sales in Business development and to increase the pipeline with a specialized focus in East Africa.

10. Understand the current business/industry environment including relevant regulations, business drivers, and evolving business needs.

11. Respond to RFP/RFI (Request for proposal/information) for prospective clients.

12. Assists with preparing and presenting business proposals to both existing and new potential customers.

13. Identification, development, tracking, and closing of new business opportunities


Management and Development of Customers Focus initiatives

1. Ensure customer satisfaction measures are achieved and maintained.

2. The development of high-level relationships and account management strategies

3. with existing and potential major customers.

4. Provides purpose-fit solutions through an in-depth understanding of specific client needs relating to the services the company provides

5. Engages with clients on a regular basis to maintain sound relationships.

6. The generation of new business through building a customer base that utilizes the services and increases revenue in relevant sectors in line with the business strategy.

7. Manage and monitor regular customer contact and communication by utilizing daily planned call cycles and scheduling daily meetings with existing and potential clients.

8. Lead and drive in sales campaigns and sales drive activities.

9. Resolve all inquiries or queries escalated to you within a reasonable timeframe and communicate concerns relating to service delivery to Operations and to respective support and management.

10. Maintains regular telephonic contact with a defined portfolio of clients to update records, maintain relationships and achieve growth of service offerings.


Effective Sales Administration Management functions

1. Preparation and submission of reports:

2. Performance report

3. Daily/Weekly/monthly

4. MD reports

5. Manage and ensure the Sales Activity Tracker is done and submitted to the Managing Director weekly or as may be required.

6. Provide detailed feedback on customer issues and risks to the operations team and leadership team for strategic decision-making.

7. Stays abreast of and gives feedback on changing market and competitor trends.

8. Maintains a current and updated database on all clients in own portfolio.

9. Keeps informed of legislative requirements pertaining to document & records management.

10. Ensures effective classification of client information to ensure fast and accurate retrieval.

11. Ensures effective management of documentation and records as defined within the

12. customer’s document retention strategy by informing customers of past due dates.

13. Compiles and reports on boxes past due on a quarterly basis.

 

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, and KNOWLEDGE:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

1. Bachelor’s Degree

2. At least 3 years experience in a sales role.

3. Motivation for sales and excellent prospecting skills.

4. Excellent written and oral communication skills.

5. Must have business acumen and be able to communicate with senior to top management levels.

6. Account management experience in document management and archival-related or similar industry sales will be preferable.

7. Must have an excellent track record in delivering high-level sales presentations.

8. Must have an excellent track record in meeting and exceeding monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.

9. Must have experience in RFP/RFI document preparation.

10. Preferably to have own vehicle.

11. Must have a valid driver’s licence.

12. Proven track record in providing solutions to customers in East Africa.
