The Inventory Manager is responsible for maintaining accurate stock records and overseeing inventory operations within the auto parts warehouse. The role ensures stock movements are timely, records are accurate, and processes align with dispatch and sales operations. This position emphasizes control, compliance, and efficiency in stock handling—excluding procurement and demand planning responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities
1. Inventory Control & System Accuracy
Maintain precise stock records using Odoo ERP and ensure all entries reflect actual movements.
Monitor inventory levels and alert relevant departments when thresholds are approached (without engaging in procurement decisions).
Conduct regular cycle counts and quarterly physical stock takes; escalate and document discrepancies.
Analyze inventory performance reports (e.g., aging, turnover, shrinkage) and report irregularities to management.
Enforce stock control procedures including FIFO, bin accuracy, and security protocols.
Ensure separation of duties by collaborating with the designated counter-checking personnel for validations.
Train and supervise warehouse staff involved in inventory movement and system updates.
2. Receiving Oversight
Supervise incoming deliveries and confirm alignment with supporting documentation (e.g., delivery notes, GRNs).
Check for visible damage or quality issues and escalate to relevant stakeholders.
Ensure proper documentation and data entry in Odoo are completed promptly and accurately.
3. Binning & Storage
Assign appropriate storage locations based on item type and space availability.
Ensure all items are accurately binned, labeled, and recorded in the system.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse layout that promotes operational efficiency.
4. Dispatch Coordination
Collaborate with sales and operations to prioritize and prepare outgoing orders.
Oversee the picking, packing, and labeling process to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
Monitor dispatch activities to ensure customer delivery timelines are met.
Qualification
Minimum 5 years’ experience in inventory management or warehouse operations.
Strong knowledge of auto spare parts handling, storage, and classification.
Proficiency in Odoo ERP and Microsoft Excel for inventory tracking and reporting.
High attention to detail with the ability to uphold data accuracy and stock integrity.
