Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Business Development Executive to join our Sustainable Insurance team. The ideal candidate will drive growth and innovation in sustainable insurance products and services. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of sustainability and insurance markets.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and Execute Strategies: Develop and execute business development strategies to expand our sustainable insurance offerings especialy in renewable energy.
• New Business Opportunities: Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the sustainable insurance sector.
• Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and industry stakeholders.
• Market Research: Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscape.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with internal functional teams to develop and deliver innovative sustainable insurance solutions.
• Proposals and Contracts: Prepare and present proposals, contracts, and business cases to potential clients.
• Performance Monitoring: Monitor and report on sales performance, market trends, and business development activities.
• Double Materiality Management: Drive environmental and social impact to Geminia stakeholders while meeting the sustainable insurance business budget.
• Brand Management: Oversee brand management in the green and sustainable insurance business.
Qualifications:
Education:
• Bachelor’s Degree: A degree in Business Administration, Economics (Insurance Option), Environmental Science, Sustainability, Actuarial Science, sustainable finance or a related field.
• A master’s degree in sustainability /environmental /climate science is preferred but not mandatory.
• Additional Qualifications: Certification in Sustainable Insurance Business or Marketing is highly desirable. Progressive postgraduate advancements in insurance are beneficial.
Experience:
• A minimum of 3 years in a sustainability-focused role, with practical experience in business development. Preferably, this experience should be in green and sustainable financing and risk management.
Skills:
• Strategic Planning: Ability to develop and execute business development strategies.
• Sales and Business Development: Expertise in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
• Relationship Management: Strong skills in building and maintaining relationships with clients, partners, and industry stakeholders.
• Market Research: Proficiency in conducting market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscapes.
• Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams to develop and deliver innovative solutions.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for preparing and presenting proposals, contracts, and business cases.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for monitoring sales performance and market trends.
• Impact Management: Experience in driving environmental and social impact while managing business budgets (double materiality management).
• Brand Management: Knowledge of brand management in the green and sustainable business.
