About Us
OGOLAW,The Green Brief is a mission-driven African law practice using the power of law and policy to reclaim Africa’s wealth by establishing its natural resources as assets that benefit Africa and Africans.
We aspire to be the go-to African law firm for:
● Natural Resource Governance Structuring
● Policy & Legislative Advisory in Environmental & Conservation Law
● Environmental Public Interest Litigation
To advance this mission, we are seeking a Growth & Partnerships Officer to design, activate, and scale a growth engine that connects us with high-value opportunities, clients, and partners.
Key Accountability & Deliverables:
To secure and maintain KES 500,000 in Monthly Recurring Revenue (MRR) by the end of Quarter 1 and scale it thereafter, by landing foundational client retainers and projects. 12-Month SMART OKRs (Revised with Q1 Revenue Focus):
Objective 1: Achieve and sustain the critical revenue target to fund operations.
● KR 1: Achieve KES 500,000 in Monthly Recurring Revenue (MRR) by the end of Month 3. [This is the SMART goal. It is the most important metric for the role.]
● KR 2: Maintain an average of KES 500k+ MRR for the remainder of the year (Months 4-12). [Ensures sustainability, not a one-off win.]
● KR 3: Build a sales pipeline valued at 3x the monthly target (KES 1.5M) to de-risk the goal. [Ensures a constant flow of opportunities.]
Objective 2: Secure our first 3-5 signature commercial engagements that form the revenue base.
● KR 1: Secure at least 2 clients on retainer agreements (e.g., monthly advisory for a corporate, a CSO's legal support, a county government). [This is the primary path to true MRR.]
● KR 2: Win and execute 2 larger, fixed-fee projects per month (e.g., policy drafts, training contracts, governance structuring) to complement retainer income. [Project work fills the gap to hit the number.]
Objective 3: Establish the foundational partnerships for local delivery and credibility.
● KR 1: Formally sign 1 "pipeline partnership" with a Kenyan CSO or consultancy that refers to leads or subcontracts work monthly. [A partnership that directly drives revenue.]
● KR 2: Identify and establish initial contact with key officers at 3 major DFIs by Quarter 2 operating in Kenya to position for future large-scale projects.
