Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Butcher to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cutting meat products according to customer specifications, maintaining a clean and safe work environment, and providing exceptional customer service.

Job Description/Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Cut, trim, and prepare meat products such as beef, pork, lamb, and poultry according to customer orders, using knives, saws, grinders, and other cutting equipment.
- Weigh, wrap, and label meat products, ensuring accurate pricing and labelling information is applied to each product.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including cleaning and sanitizing equipment and tools, and disposing of waste and debris in a safe and timely manner.
- Stock and rotate meat products in displays and storage areas, ensuring that products are fresh and properly stored according to food safety standards.
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions, offering suggestions and recommendations, and ensuring that customers receive the highest quality products and service.
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation regulations, including maintaining accurate records of temperature and other safety measures.
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and new products, and participate in training and development opportunities as required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous experience as a butcher or in a related role preferred
- Excellent knowledge of different cuts of meat, including beef, pork, lamb, and poultry, and the ability to prepare and package them according to customer specifications
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately and efficiently
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Physical ability to stand for long periods of time, lift and move heavy objects, and work in a refrigerated environment
