DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Beverage Preparation

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and espresso-based beverages including espresso, lattes, cappuccinos, Americanos, mochas, and specialty drinks.
• Operate and maintain coffee machines, grinders, brewing equipment, and POS systems.
• Ensure consistency in drink quality, presentation, and taste.
• Follow standard recipes and beverage preparation procedures.

Customer Service & Interaction

• Greet customers warmly and take accurate orders in a friendly and professional manner.
• Provide product information and recommend beverages based on customer preferences.
• Handle customer concerns or complaints politely and efficiently.
• Ensure fast and efficient service during peak hours.

Workstation Management

• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the coffee station, equipment, and serving area at all times.
• Ensure compliance with food safety and health standards.
• Restock ingredients, coffee beans, milk, syrups, cups, and other supplies as needed.

Operational & Administrative Support

• Assist in inventory control by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages.
• Manage cash handling and operate the POS system accurately.
• Participate in team meetings and support the implementation of café promotions or new menu items.

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

• Certificate or Diploma in Hospitality, Food & Beverage Service, or a related field
• Prior experience working as a Barista in a café or restaurant environment (minimum 1 year preferred)
• Strong knowledge of coffee brewing techniques, espresso extraction, milk steaming, and latte art is an added advantage
• Ability to operate espresso machines, grinders, and other brewing tools
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Strong attention to detail, cleanliness, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
