About the Company
Our Client is a premium hospitality establishment located in Kilimani, Nairobi, offering a blend of luxury accommodation, dining, and conference facilities. The hotel caters to both business and leisure travelers, with a growing focus on attracting international and regional tourists.
Key Responsibilities
1. Revenue Generation & Business Development
- Drive room sales and revenue by identifying and converting new business opportunities
- Actively target travel agents, tour operators, and corporate clients within the tourism segment
- Leverage existing networks along Mombasa Road, Ngong Road, and Westlands to generate business
- Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline to ensure consistent bookings
- Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets
- Prepare and present proposals, contracts, and rate agreements
2. Client Acquisition & Relationship Management
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with travel agents, tour operators, and corporate clients
- Manage key accounts to ensure repeat business and long-term partnerships
- Conduct regular client visits, sales calls, and presentations
- Handle client inquiries, negotiations, and contract closures
- Represent the hotel at networking events, exhibitions, and industry forums
3. Market Expansion & Positioning
- Identify new market opportunities within the tourism and hospitality sectors
- Monitor competitor activity, pricing trends, and market dynamics
- Promote the hotel’s offerings including accommodation, conferencing, and dining services
- Support brand visibility through partnerships and industry engagement
4. Sales Operations & Coordination
- Work closely with the Head of Sales to align sales strategies with overall business objectives
- Coordinate with reservations and operations teams to ensure seamless booking and guest experience
- Ensure accurate documentation and tracking of all sales activities
5. Reporting & Performance Tracking
- Track sales performance, pipeline status, and conversion rates
- Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports
- Provide insights and recommendations to improve occupancy and revenue
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions and sales activities
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Sales, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or related field
- Minimum 5-7 years experience in hotel sales or hospitality sales
- Proven experience selling hotel services within Mombasa Road, Ngong Road, or Westlands markets
- Strong network within the tours & travel space
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Strong understanding of the tourism and hospitality market
- Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills
