Merchandisers(Nakuru,Kakamega,Nairobi)

Job Description

The Merchandiser will be responsible for maintaining product visibility and availability in retail outlets, ensuring compliance with merchandising standards, and supporting sales through effective product placement and stock management. The role requires regular store visits and close collaboration with retailers and the sales team.

Key Responsibilities

• Visit assigned retail outlets according to the planned route.
• Arrange and display products to company merchandising standards.
• Ensure products are adequately stocked and shelves remain well organized.
• Monitor stock levels and report low or out-of-stock items.
• Check product pricing, promotions, and shelf visibility.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with store managers and staff.
• Ensure products are clean, properly labeled, and within expiry dates where applicable.
• Collect market intelligence, including competitor activities and customer feedback.
• Prepare daily merchandising and stock reports.
• Support promotional campaigns and in-store marketing activities.

Requirements

• Certificate, Diploma, or equivalent qualification in Sales, Marketing, Business, or a related field.
• Previous experience in merchandising, retail, or FMCG is an added advantage.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet assigned targets.
• Physically fit and willing to travel within assigned territories.
• Basic computer literacy and report-writing skills.
• High level of integrity, reliability, and attention to detail.
