Job Summary
As a full-time Process & Project Engineer, you’ll design, build and continuously optimise our waste-to-fertilizer production hubs. From concept engineering and capex budgeting to commissioning, ramp-up and day-to-day process troubleshooting, you’ll own the entire lifecycle of each facility and help drive down cost per tonne while maximising environmental impact.

Job Description/Requirements
Facility & process design
• Produce PFDs, material/energy balances, equipment sizing, site layouts and detailed drawings
• Compile BOQs, specifications and tender packages
Project & cost control
• Develop Gantt schedules, critical-path analyses and phased budgets
• Lead tendering, contract negotiations and cost-variance tracking
Construction & installation oversight
• Supervise site works, enforce HSE, validate quality and resolve change orders
Commissioning & up
• Prepare/execute commissioning protocols, performance tests and operator training • Deliver as-built dossiers and SOPs
Operations optimisation
• Analyse throughput, yields and OEE, run kaizen events, and set up CMMS-based preventive maintenance Cross-functional support • Collaborate with procurement, finance and operations on sourcing, inventory, scheduling and continuous improvement

- Complete engineering design packages
- Capital and operating budgets with variance reports
- Commissioning & performance-validation documents
- Preventive-maintenance schedules, SOPs and optimisation reports
Qualifications
- BSc/MSc in Process, Chemical, Mechanical or Environmental Engineering
- 5 + years designing and/or operating industrial waste-to-value or fertilizer facilities
- Proven delivery of EPCM or capex projects through to steady-state operations
- Proficiency with AutoCAD/Plant 3D (or similar), MS Project/Primavera and CMMS/ERP systems
- Working knowledge of Lean/OEE/root-cause methods; familiarity with African construction contexts is a plus
- Fluent English (Swahili or other local language an advantage)

- New facilities commissioned on schedule and within budget
- ≥ 98 % uptime in steady-state operations through robust maintenance plans
- Continuous reduction in cost per tonne of fertilizer produced
- Safe, compliant and environmentally responsible operations
Reporting & working conditions
You’ll report to the CTO, spending roughly 60 % of your time on-site and 40 % in the office for design, analysis and coordination. Regular regional travel expected (we have operations in Uganda and Rwanda). Competitive salary, milestone/KPI based annual bonus and professional-development budget can be discussed.
