Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Second Chef to join our team and work closely with our Head Chef in delivering exceptional food and service to our customers. The ideal candidate should have at least 6-8 years of experience in a similar role and possess a strong passion for culinary arts.

Responsibilities:

● Assist the Head Chef in all aspects of kitchen management, including menu planning, food preparation, and staff supervision.

● Ensure that food quality and presentation meet the highest standards at all times.

● Prepare and cook meals to order in a timely manner.

● Maintain inventory levels of food and kitchen supplies and order as required.

● Ensure that all kitchen equipment and appliances are maintained in a clean and safe condition.

● Assist in the development of new menu items and recipes.

● Train and supervise junior kitchen staff as required.

● Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and company policies.

Requirements:

● Proven experience as a Second Chef or similar role in a busy kitchen environment.

● Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and ingredients.

● Excellent communication and leadership skills.

● Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

● Strong attention to detail and a passion for delivering high-quality food and service.

● Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

● Knowledge of health and safety regulations and food handling guidelines.

● Certificate or diploma in culinary arts or a related field is desirable.
