About the role:
We are seeking a strategic, hands-on Senior Marketing Officer to significantly enhance our brand presence across Kenya and the East African region. This is an exciting role for a motivated marketing professional with a passion for the FMCG/cosmetics industry, ready to drive brand growth, visibility, and sales performance. The Senior Marketing Officer will be reporting directly to the Marketing Manager.

This is a full-time on-site position for a Senior Marketing Officer, based in Nairobi. The Senior Marketing Officer will plan and implement marketing strategies, analyze market trends, develop marketing campaigns, and create content for multiple channels. The role encompasses coordinating with various teams to promote brand awareness, managing marketing efforts, and tracking campaign performance to ensure goals are met.

Key Responsibilities:
● Develop and execute annual marketing strategies, budgets, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
● Contribute to overall brand strategy and collaborate closely with product development teams.
● Manage and support digital marketing, social media presence, content creation, and external communications.
● Develop and implement trade marketing programs and supporting materials for the sales teams.
● Conduct thorough market research and analysis to provide actionable business and marketing insights.
● Plan, coordinate, and execute brand activations, product launches, and key marketing events.
● Support junior team members and foster effective cross-functional collaboration within the organization.

Qualifications and Experience:
● Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
● Experience: A minimum of four (4) years of proven marketing experience, with an advantage if in the FMCG or cosmetics sector. This includes demonstrated experience in:
○ Supporting brand strategy development.
○ Leading marketing campaigns.
○ Team development.
○ Proven experience in a similar role and strong project management skills.
● Marketing Expertise: Profi ciency in Traditional Marketing, Digital Marketing, and Content Marketing, encompassing:
○ Strong proficiency in digital marketing techniques.
○ Content Strategy.
○ Campaign Development.
○ Market Research.

● Skills:
○ Strong abilities in Communication, Writing, and Creative Content Creation.
○ Analytical skills.
○ Ability to work collaboratively and deliver results under deadlines.

● Knowledge & Tools:
○ Knowledge of Analytics Tools, Consumer Behavior, and Current Marketing Trends.
○ Previous experience operating within or knowledge of the East African market is highly preferred.
○ Familiarity with tools such as CRM systems and graphic design software is a plus.
