Spare Parts-Sales Associate
Job summary
The Sales Associate is responsible for growing sales by promoting products to garages, mechanics, motor vehicle spare parts dealers, transport SACCOs, fleet operators, workshops, and other automotive customers. The role focuses on acquiring new customers, strengthening existing relationships, increasing market penetration and achieve sales targets.

Key Responsibilities
- Identify, develop, and manage new business opportunities within the assigned territory.
- Promote products to: Garages and automative workshops,Motor Vehicle mechanics and technicians,Vehicle and PSV Saccos,Fleet owners and transport companies,Motor vehicle spare parts dealers and distributors and Commercial vehicle operators
- Conduct regular field visits to customers to build strong business relationships.
- Demonstrate product features, benefits, and correct installation practices where applicable.
- Increase product visibility and availability within garages, workshops, and retail outlets.
- Develop and implement territory sales plans to achieve revenue and volume targets.
- Follow up on customer inquiries, quotations, and orders to ensure timely closure of sales.
- Monitor customer stock levels and encourage timely replenishment.
- Collect market intelligence on competitors, pricing, customer preferences, and industry trends.
- Identify opportunities to introduce new products and expand the customer base.
- Support promotional campaigns, roadshows, trade exhibitions, and product demonstrations.
- Work closely with distributors to improve product availability within the territory.
- Ensure timely collection of customer payments in line with company credit policies.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales activity and performance reports.
- Maintain accurate records of customer visits, sales pipeline, and market feedback.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least 2 years' experience in field sales, preferably within the automotive spare parts, lubricants, tyres, or batteries sectors.
- Experience selling to garages, mechanics, transport SACCOs, fleet operators, or automotive distributors is highly desirable.
