Department: Stores (Supply Chain)
JOB OBJECTIVE
To support the Store Officer in ensuring our Industries’ stores are efficiently managed by reordering, safekeeping, and releasing raw materials and supplies when needed.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
Reports to: Store Officer
Direct Reports: • None

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Supplies and Inventory Management
• Arranges store items and supplies, ensuring ease of retrieval.
• Issues material to staff for use in the production process.
• Inspects all newly purchased store items, ensuring conformance with quantity and design specifications.
• Takes daily stock level to monitor the reorder level of all raw materials and supplies in the store.
• Ensures the store maintains a high level of hygiene at all times.
• Ensures that all personnel collecting items from the store have the required authorisation.
• Assists the Store Officer in creating material codes and Goods Receipt Note.
Requisition Management
• Assists the Stores Officer in raising purchase requests on behalf of user departments and forwarding to procurement.
• Follows up with procurement to ensure timely supply of the items.
• Liaises with external suppliers for the delivery of products.
• Takes part in the receipt of supplies from contractors and ensures they are in line with specifications.
Record Keeping and Reporting
• Maintains an up-to-date record of all items in the store.
• Maintains an up to date record of all store items released to other departments.
• Prepares and submits scrap report.
Integrated Management System
Documents, implements and maintains the requirements of the Quality, Food Safety, Environment, Health and Safety management systems.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Required Education
• Minimum of an OND in Engineering or a related Science discipline
Required Experience
• Minimum of 2 years of work experience in similar role within the manufacturing industry
• Basic SAP Proficiency is a requirement
