About the Role:
Our client, a reputable mid sized medical insurance brokerage, is seeking an energetic and results driven Business Development Executive to join their team. This role focuses on achieving sales and retention targets, expanding the medical insurance client portfolio, and delivering an outstanding customer experience across all touchpoints.
Key Responsibilities:
• Achieve and exceed sales and retention targets for medical insurance policies.
• Expand the medical insurance portfolio by acquiring new policies and upselling existing accounts.
• Prepare and submit timely quotes, following up promptly to secure new business.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients for cross selling, upselling, and referral opportunities.
• Support seamless onboarding of new policies in collaboration with the underwriting team and insurers.
• Maintain a retention rate of at least 95% across medical policies.
• Ensure timely renewals of medical policies, providing terms and alternatives well in advance.
• Maintain strong client satisfaction through regular service review meetings (at least quarterly).
• Organize and coordinate client centric activities such as member education sessions, health talks, and medical camps.
• Support clients with risk management efforts to maintain acceptable loss ratios.
What We’re Looking For:
• Diploma in Business or a related field (undergraduate degree preferred).
• COP (Certificate of Proficiency) in insurance.
• At least 3 years’ experience in business development, preferably within the insurance sector, with a focus on medical insurance.
• Strong customer focus and service mindset.
• Collaborative, team oriented approach.
• High integrity and ethical standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong sales and negotiation abilities.
