Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Fertilizer Field Sales Agent to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with customers, promoting and selling fertilizers, and achieving sales targets. The successful candidate will work closely with farmers, agribusinesses, and other potential customers in the assigned territory to ensure they receive the highest level of service and support.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a sales plan to achieve sales targets and expand the company's customer base in the assigned territory
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers, providing them with superior service and support
- Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling of products and services
- Deliver product presentations and demonstrations to customers and prospects
- Gather market intelligence and feedback from customers and prospects to improve product offerings and service delivery
- Attend industry events and conferences to network with potential customers and stay up-to-date on industry trends
- Work with the marketing team to develop promotional materials and campaigns to increase brand awareness and generate leads
- Manage the sales pipeline and report on sales activities and results
Requirements:
- Certificate in Agriculture, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
- Proven sales experience in the fertilizer or agriculture industry, preferably in a field sales role
- In-depth knowledge of fertilizers, soil science, and crop nutrition
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in MS Office applications and CRM software
- A valid driver's license and the ability to travel extensively within the assigned territory
