Our client, a leading Christian Media House in Kenya is seeking to hire a strategic Human Resource Manager to lead and manage the organization’s HR function.
The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about supporting a positive workplace culture as he/she focuses on aligning HR practices with business objectives and driving talent management strategies.
Main Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with organizational goals and values
- Provide leadership on recruitment, onboarding, and talent development across the organization
- Manage employee relations, discipline, and grievance handling in a fair and legally compliant manner
- Oversee performance management systems, staff development, and succession planning
- Ensure compliance with the all labour regulations including statutory obligations
- Review and maintain HR policies, contracts, and procedures
- Support management in organizational development, culture building, and change management
- Oversee payroll coordination, statutory remittances, and HR reporting
- Promote staff welfare, engagement, and spiritual well-being initiatives
- Act as a trusted advisor to management on people and organizational matters
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or Business Administration or related field.
- A Minimum of 5 years HR experience in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven experience in talent management, employee relations, and organizational development.
- Good understanding of employment laws and regulations in Kenya.
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills are desired.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to influence and build relationships at all organizational levels.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace
