Job Description/Requirements

As our Marketing Manager, you'll be instrumental in shaping Decathlon's brand presence and engaging with our community across Kenya. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Marketing Strategy & Planning: Contribute to the development of overall marketing strategies and annual plans to make Decathlon the 1st top minded sport brand in Kenya. Identify key trends and opportunities in the Kenyan sports market to increase our brand awareness.

  • Content Direction & Development: Ideate, plan, and create engaging marketing content for our website, email newsletters, in-store promotions, and other digital and offline channels.

  • Digital Campaign Management: Lead the planning and execution of integrated digital marketing campaigns (e.g., seasonal promotions, brand awareness initiatives) across various online channels.You'll analyze campaign performance and recommend optimizations.

  • Market Research & Insights: Conduct market research to understand the Kenyan sports consumer, competitor activities, and industry trends. Translate insights into actionable marketing recommendations and opportunities.

  • Event Marketing & Partnership Support: Contribute to the planning and execution of in-store and outdoor community sports events, including developing promotional materials and communication plans. Support the identification and engagement with local sports partners.

  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with our Social Media Manager, sales, merchandising, and operations teams to ensure marketing efforts are integrated, consistent, and effectively support business objectives.
