Job Description/Requirements
- Promote and sell the products to healthcare professionals, including doctors, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, hospitals, clinics and chemists.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve sales targets in the assigned territory.
- Identify new business opportunities and potential clients to expand the customer base.
- Engage with dealers and distributors to drive product availability and visibility in the market.
- Build and maintain a pipeline of prospective clients and monitor conversions to meet sales objectives.
- Prepare a daily, weekly and monthly plan clearly showing dates, customers to be visited, objectives, and expected outcomes.
- Prepare daily customer activity reports on the agreed customer follow up assignments.
- Gather and compile market intelligence and information, and provide monthly reports to management.
- Plan and focus on selling high value profit products and brands.
- Prepare and submit sales reports, including forecasts, performance analysis, and market feedback.
- Perform any other duty assigned from time to time.
- Provide detailed technical product information and highlight the benefits and usage of our products.
- Conduct product demonstrations, seminars, and training sessions for healthcare providers, including virtual sessions to accommodate remote clients.
- Stay updated on product knowledge, competitor activities, and industry trends to communicate with clients effectively.
- Customize product presentations to address specific healthcare challenges and needs within the East African market.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key healthcare providers and decision-makers.
- Regularly visit healthcare professionals to provide support, gather feedback, and address inquiries or concerns.
- Participate in medical events, congresses, trade fairs, and related activities to enhance brand visibility and foster relationships.
- Provide excellent after-sales service, including prompt resolution of customer complaints and proactive follow-ups.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify sales opportunities.
- Conduct market analysis to identify gaps and recommend strategies for increased product penetration.
- Collaborate with the sales team to develop and implement promotional campaigns tailored to the East African market.
- Responsible for 100% collection of payments from customers when due and follow up on overdue accounts to ensure timely payments.
- Adhere to regulatory guidelines, including local healthcare regulations and ethical standards, in promoting and selling products.
- Work closely with Finance and Credit Control Departments to ensure compliance on all revenue and collection initiatives.

- Participate in company training programs and seek learning opportunities to stay updated with trends and advancements in the healthcare industry.
- Continuously improve knowledge of regional healthcare systems and policies to address client needs effectively.
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in business administration, sales & marketing, Health Sciences, physiotherapy or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in healthcare sales; entry-level candidates with relevant qualifications may also be considered.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including proficiency in local languages where applicable.
- Proficiency in time management, planning, and organization.
- Strong sales and negotiation abilities.
- Adaptability to dynamic and challenging situations within a multicultural environment.
- In-depth knowledge of the pharmaceutical and healthcare market, products, and emerging trends in East Africa.
- Effective influencing and persuasion skills.
- Proficiency in computer applications.
