Our client in the technology industry is seeking a competent, organized, and self-driven People & Culture Assistant to join their dynamic team. This position will play a central role in ensuring the smooth running of all HR operations, implementing people strategies, and fostering a positive, compliant, and productive work environment.

Job Description/Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and implement HR administrative functions, ensuring effective HR operations and compliance with Kenyan labour laws.
- Prepare and manage employment contracts, job descriptions, and personnel records, maintaining data integrity and confidentiality.
- Oversee recruitment and onboarding processes to attract highly skilled professionals in the tech and telecoms sectors.
- Manage payroll, benefits administration, and statutory requirements in line with company policies and legal standards.\
- Serve as the first point of contact for employee inquiries.
- Support in handling employee grievances and escalating issues appropriately.
- Help communicate HR policies, procedures, and updates to staff.
- Handle disciplinary and grievance matters while ensuring fairness, consistency, and adherence to the Employment Act.
- Administer employee leave management, transfers, promotions, confirmations, and exits.
- Support workplace health, safety, and wellness programs in collaboration with the EHS Manager.
- Track performance appraisal schedules and collect evaluation reports.
- Develop and maintain HR systems and databases, ensuring accurate and timely information management.
- Promote a positive, innovative, and inclusive workplace culture through employee engagement and team-building initiatives.
- Prepare HR reports and advise management on HR trends, metrics, and strategic improvements.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in the technology, IT, or telecommunications industry.
- Strong knowledge of the Employment Act, labour relations, and HR best practices in Kenya.
- Proficiency in HR software, HRIS systems, and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
