COLLEGE PRINCIPAL
The college principal will be the chief academic and administrative officer, responsible for providing strategic leadership, ensuring academic excellence, managing financial and human resources, and ensuring compliance with regulatory bodies.
KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Overseeing the development, implementation, and evaluation of academic programs to ensure high standards.
2. Monitoring Campus performance, ensuring adherence to teaching standards, and encouraging pedagogical improvement.
3. Implementing programs to enhance student learning, monitoring student progress, and addressing disciplinary matters.
4. Supervising internal and external exam processes, ensuring timely completion of the syllabus and declaration of results.
5. Recruiting, mentoring, and evaluating teaching and non-teaching staff.
6. Running the institution's daily activities, including scheduling, timetables.
7. Enforcing college policies, rules, and disciplinary procedures.
8. Setting the long-term vision, mission, and strategic goals for the institution.
9. Ensuring the college meets regulations from the government, university, and accreditation bodies.
10. Acting as the face of the institution to alumni, donors, the local community, and the public.
11. Developing relationships with industries for student internships and placements.
12. Creating a culture of accountability, safety, and professional development.
13. Handling emergencies and ensuring a safe, nurturing environment
ACADEMIC AND PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
1. A Bachelor’s degree in Education, Business, or Administration is required,
2. A minimum of 5 years in a leadership role, such as a deputy principal or administrator Must hold a valid TVETA Trainer/Assessor License for vocational institutions.
3. Demonstrated experience in managing staff, institutional operations, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
HOSPITALITY LECTURER
The lecturer will be responsible for developing practical relevant skills in our students.
Job Description
Experience: 2 years teaching
Qualification
KNEC Diploma in Food & Beverage management. Those with KTTC qualifications
will have an added advantage. Able to conduct practical in food production Barista
and pastry and bakery. Kindly note this is a must.
Responsibilities
• Carry out research and prepare up-to-date learning materials.
• Prepare course outlines for all the units allocated and issue to students
within the first week of the semester.
• Teach the units allocated by the Head of Department and as reviewed from time
to time.
• Evaluate the outcomes of individual learning through formal assessments or
informal methods and ensuring feedback is given.
• Ensure the subject course outline is sufficiently covered within the
stipulated time period
• Administer/ Supervise related practical lessons.
• Participate in the development, administration and marking of exams and other
assessments
• Prepare and present all the professional documents as required by the
academic policy.
• Participate in extra-curricular activities organized by the college.
