Job Description/Requirements
- Develop and implement regional sales and marketing strategies for animal feed products.
- Recruitment and efficient customer service to distributors and stockists.
- Ensure all collection of outstanding accounts is done within the terms of sales.
- Organize, conduct, and follow up on practical farmer training sessions in their area of jurisdiction.
- Liaise with accounts and other relevant department(s) to ensure customer accounts are maintained accurately.
- Identify new business opportunities and expand the customer base across the Rift Valley region.
- Manage and support a network of agro-dealers, distributors, and Farmers Cooperative Societies.
- Conduct field visits to engage with farmers, collect feedback, and provide technical support.
- Coordinate marketing campaigns, product demonstrations, and training sessions.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and pricing strategies.
- Consistently meet or exceed sales targets as set by the company.
- Prepare and present comprehensive sales reports and forecasts to senior management.
- Collaborate with production and logistics teams to ensure efficient product distribution.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in sales and marketing, preferably within the animal feeds or agricultural sector.
- Demonstrate the ability to achieve and surpass sales targets.
- Comprehensive understanding of livestock farming practices in the Rift Valley region.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated, results-driven, and capable of working independently.
- Fluency in English and Kiswahili; knowledge of local dialects is an added advantage.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively.
- Proficient in all Microsoft packages
