Job Summary

To spearhead regional market penetration and growth initiatives. The successful candidate will possess a strong background in agribusiness, i.e, the animal feed sector, and will have a comprehensive understanding of the local agricultural landscape. The position demands strategic planning, execution, and strong stakeholder engagement

Job Description/Requirements

  1. Develop and implement regional sales and marketing strategies for animal feed products.
  2. Recruitment and efficient customer service to distributors and stockists.
  3. Ensure all collection of outstanding accounts is done within the terms of sales.
  4. Organize, conduct, and follow up on practical farmer training sessions in their area of jurisdiction.
  5. Liaise with accounts and other relevant department(s) to ensure customer accounts are maintained accurately.
  6. Identify new business opportunities and expand the customer base across the Rift Valley region.
  7. Manage and support a network of agro-dealers, distributors, and Farmers Cooperative Societies.
  8. Conduct field visits to engage with farmers, collect feedback, and provide technical support.
  9. Coordinate marketing campaigns, product demonstrations, and training sessions.
  10. Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and pricing strategies.
  11. Consistently meet or exceed sales targets as set by the company.
  12. Prepare and present comprehensive sales reports and forecasts to senior management.
  13. Collaborate with production and logistics teams to ensure efficient product distribution.
  14. Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in sales and marketing, preferably within the animal feeds or agricultural sector.
  15. Demonstrate the ability to achieve and surpass sales targets.
  16. Comprehensive understanding of livestock farming practices in the Rift Valley region.
  17. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  18. Self-motivated, results-driven, and capable of working independently.
  19. Fluency in English and Kiswahili; knowledge of local dialects is an added advantage.
  20. Possession of a valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively.
  21. Proficient in all Microsoft packages
