Job Summary

Our client organizes focused and high end trade shows and a series of conferences and workshops for the East and Central African market with a major focus in the Textile and Fashion industry. They are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Executive – Exhibitions to join our team.

  • Minimum Qualification : Bachelors
  • Experience Level : Mid level
  • Experience Length : 3 years

Job Description/Requirements

The successful candidate will be responsible for generating revenue through the sale of exhibition space and sponsorship packages across our portfolio of events. This role requires a proactive individual who is passionate about sales, building client relationships, and exceeding targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Sell exhibition space and sponsorship packages for assigned events via telephone, Email, and face-to-face meetings. 

• Develop new business opportunities by identifying and engaging with potential clients across relevant industries. 

• Maintain and grow relationships with existing clients to ensure long-term partnerships and repeat business. 

• Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals tailored to client needs. 

• Achieve and exceed individual and team sales targets and KPIs. 

• Maintain accurate records of all sales activity in the company system. 

• Attend industry events, exhibitions, and meetings to promote the company and expand the client network. 

• Collaborate with marketing, operations, and event teams to ensure successful delivery of exhibitions. 

• Stay up to date with industry trends and competitor activity to identify new opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field. 

• At least of 3 Years’ Experience in the exhibitions or events industry desirable

• Proven track record of sales success, ideally in exhibitions, events, media, or B2B environments. 

• Good presentation skills, e.g. using PowerPoint, Word, and similar applications 

• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.

• Strong negotiation and communication skills, both verbal and written. 

• Ability to build rapport quickly and maintain strong relationships. 

• Highly motivated, target-driven, and able to work under pressure. 

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, Hub Spot). 

• Solid knowledge of website analytics tools 

• Creativity & problem-solving skills 

• Attention to detail and analytical mind-set 

• Strong Strategic thinking 

• Must be detail oriented and have analytical skills 

• Ability to work with deadlines 

• A team player, with stress tolerance
