Job Title: Sales Executive - Steel & Plastic Tanks and Pipes

Location: Kenya (Focus on Eastleigh and Nationwide)

Job Description:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales Executive to join our team, responsible for selling steel tanks, plastic tanks, and plastic pipes to hardware customers around Kenya. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record in dealing with local Kenyan hardware stores, strong contacts with plumbers, main contractors, NGOs, government bodies, and relief aid projects. The candidate should be particularly familiar with the Eastleigh market, as well as other regions across Kenya.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients in the hardware industry, including plumbers, main contractors, NGOs, government bodies, and relief aid projects.
  2. Identify and capitalize on new sales opportunities to grow market share, with a focus on the Eastleigh area and nationwide.
  3. Achieve sales targets by promoting and selling our range of steel tanks, plastic tanks, and plastic pipes.
  4. Provide excellent customer service, addressing inquiries and concerns promptly.
  5. Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to stay informed and devise effective sales strategies.
  6. Prepare and submit sales reports and forecasts to management.

Requirements:

  1. At least 3 years of experience in sales, preferably in the hardware industry, with a focus on steel tanks, plastic tanks, and plastic pipes.
  2. Strong network and previous dealings with local Kenyan hardware stores, plumbers, main contractors, NGOs, government bodies, and relief aid projects.
  3. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  4. Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
  5. Willingness to travel extensively within Kenya to meet clients, with a focus on Eastleigh and other regions.
  6. Proficiency in English and Swahili.
