Job Description/Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Business Development
- Identify and pursue new sales opportunities in air and sea freight forwarding.
- Conduct cold calls, client visits, and walk-ins to initiate conversations and generate leads.
- Provide customized freight quotes and actively follow up to close deals.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve and exceed set targets.
- Stay updated on market trends, competitor activities, and client demands.
Client Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in client organizations.
- Understand client logistics needs and offer tailored, cost-effective solutions.
- Act as the main point of contact for customer queries, providing timely updates on order status and addressing concerns promptly.
Coordination & Internal Collaboration
- Work closely with the operations and customer service teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Share market insights and contribute to continuous process improvements within the sales team.
Reporting & Performance Tracking
- Maintain accurate sales records, customer interactions, and pipeline activities using CRM tools.
- Prepare regular reports on sales performance, forecasts, and market intelligence for management review.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
Education
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of proven sales experience in freight forwarding (air and sea freight).
- Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
- Existing network or customer base within the logistics and freight forwarding industry is a strong advantage.
Skills
- Deep understanding of freight forwarding operations and logistics solutions.
- Strong negotiation and closing skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Results-driven mindset with a focus on customer satisfaction and revenue growth.
Technology Proficiency
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems.
Other Requirements
Willingness to travel locally for client meetings and business development activities.
