Sales Representative in FMCG

EXPERIENCED 

JOB PURPOSE.

The purpose of the job is to perform direct salesmanship tasks according to established procedures.

An employee in this job classification functions as a VSM (Van Salesman)

Work includes selling company’s merchandise in the assigned territories   and ensuring attainment of set sales targets. Performs related work as directed

•             High sales volumes for the company

•             Achievement of set sales targets.

•             Ability to handle customer s grievances instantaneously and maintain customer contacts.

•             Ability to exploit all the market segments within our allocated regions.

•             Strategic focus on customer satisfaction and strategies to attain competitive edge in the market.

•             Adherence to the laid down code of conduct, policies and procedures and documentation at all times.

KEY DUTIES.

•             Ensure attainment of set sales targets.

•             Daily route sales on assigned territories.

•             Continued focus on structured sales calls.

•             Development and implementation of a sales and marketing strategy to counter competition

•             Strategic focus on brands with higher margins.

•             Adherence to the set prices within the allocated market segments.

•             Notify the Sales Manager, depot manager, general manager and director of any new developments in the target market.

•             Ensuring strict compliance to the agreed documentation e.g. issue of cash sale receipts on all sales, accounting for all sales made as per the company stipulations etc.

•             Ensure that company stocks are fully accounted for at all times during loading and offloading.

•             Take care of company’s stocks to ensure no tampering of the stocks in the vehicles.
