Sales Representative

Reporting to: Business Development Manager

Salary budget - KES 20,000 - 30,000

The Sales Representative will be responsible for prospecting and developing new accounts (B2B: Hotels, Restaurants, Caterers, Institutions)with a focus on building long-term customer relationships and increasing sales revenue for Markiti

Responsibilities

• Attain set targets in volume, and margin based on the sales budget
• Prospect, search for new customers, new business opportunities and to upsell products. CRM
• Regular use of the company CRM tool as per the set customer lead generation KPIs
• Conduct competitor analysis and advise on suitable strategies to compete efficiently in the market.
• Thorough understanding of product portfolio
• Client relationship management - ensure all clients are served satisfactorily and aware of any new products or developments
• Debt collection- ensuring that all sales have been paid up, clients are honoring their credit terms and no unauthorized debts are accrued by the company
• Negotiate prices and terms with customers
• Maintain contact lists and follow-ups with customers to maintain relationships and ordering activities

Preferred Qualifications

• Must have territory knowledge of Nairobi Westlands, parklands, Mombasa Road, Thika Road, Eastlands
• A minimum of 2 years experience in sales and marketing
• Must have worked for an FMCG in the HORECA department
• Relationship management skills
• Highly motivated and target driven
• Knowledge of basic MS Office tools
