Job Description/Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Route-to-Market Execution. Conduct regular visits to retail and wholesale outlets following a predetermined route plan to enhance product availability, visibility, and sales.
- Outlet Maintenance. Ensure that all outlets are well-stocked, effectively merchandised, and compliant with company promotional guidelines.
- Market Expansion. Identify and cultivate new outlet opportunities within the assigned territory.
- Payment Collection. Collect payments according to agreed credit terms, maintain accurate financial records, and ensure timely remittance of outstanding balances.
- Stock & Merchandising Management. Monitor stock rotation across various outlets, manage returns, oversee merchandisers and promoters, and ensure proper display of promotional materials.
- Customer Relationship Management. Build and maintain strong business relationships with retailers, wholesalers, and distributors.
- Sales & Activity Reporting. Submit daily and weekly sales reports, gather customer feedback, and provide competitor intelligence to the Sales Manager.
- Execution of Promotions. Communicate trade promotions, support in-market activation, and ensure effective execution at points of sale.
- Territory Development. Continuously analyze territory performance and propose actionable plans to increase market share and profitability.
- Market Intelligence. Monitor competitor activities, pricing strategies, and customer preferences, sharing actionable insights with the team.
- Targets. Achieve agreed-upon monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and collection targets.
- Additional Responsibilities. Perform any other tasks as assigned by management or your immediate supervisor.
Requirements
- Minimum high school diploma; a diploma or degree in Business, Sales, or Marketing is preferred.
- At least 4 years of sales experience in the FMCG industry.
- Strong understanding of retail dynamics, trade channels, and route-to-market systems.
- Valid driver’s/motorcycle license and willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
- Self-starter with excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet or exceed sales targets.
- Proficient in computer applications.
