Key Responsibilities:
Access Control:
Monitor and control access to the premises, verifying the identity of visitors, employees, and contractors.
Enforce security protocols and ensure only authorized personnel enter restricted areas.
Customer Service:
Greet and assist visitors, employees, and guests in a friendly and professional manner.
Provide information, directions, and assistance as needed.
Surveillance:
Monitor security cameras and alarm systems to identify and respond to any suspicious activity or breaches.
Report security incidents or concerns to appropriate personnel.
Emergency Response:
Act as the first point of contact in case of emergencies, such as fire, medical incidents, or security breaches.
Follow established protocols for emergency response, including contacting emergency services when necessary.
Communication:
Maintain effective communication with security personnel, management, and other departments.
Handle incoming calls and transfer them to the appropriate individuals or departments.
Administrative Tasks:
Assist with administrative duties, such as signing in visitors, issuing visitor badges, and maintaining visitor logs.
Maintain and update security records and reports.
Equipment Operation:
Operate security equipment, such as metal detectors, X-ray scanners, and keycard access systems.
Ensure all equipment is in working order and report any malfunctions.
Safety Compliance:
Enforce safety regulations and policies to protect the well-being of all occupants.
Participate in safety drills and training exercises.
Problem Solving:
Handle minor disputes and conflicts among visitors or employees with professionalism and discretion.
Escalate more significant issues to the appropriate authorities.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional security or receptionist training is a plus.
Proven experience in a security or receptionist role is preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations.
Basic computer skills for data entry and security system operation.
Familiarity with security protocols and emergency response procedures.
Physical fitness and the ability to stand or walk for extended periods.
