Job Purpose
The Technical Sales Manager is responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies to grow revenue and increase market share of the firms products which include mobility aids, orthopedic support as well as rehabilitation products. This role holder shall develop long-term relationships with clients and serve as a key point of contact for them, managing and interpreting their requirements, and providing both pre-and after-sales support.
Key Duties/ Responsibilities
1. Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue growth targets. Create sales proposals, presentations, and demonstrations to showcase product offerings
2. Identify new business opportunities, develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers
3. Develop and implement strategies to increase sales through hospital and retail distribution channels;
4. Develop relationships with key stakeholders in hospitals, clinics, pharmacies, and other healthcare facilities
5. Identify opportunities to expand retail distribution channels through partnerships and other means
6. Manage sales activities and provide support to the sales team. Analyze sales data to identify trends and make recommendations for improvement
7. Develop a thorough understanding of Mobility Aids, Orthopaedic Support, Occupational Therapy, and Rehabilitation products
8. Provide technical support to customers and sales team, including product training and demonstrations
9. Prepare regular reports on sales performance, market share, and other key metrics; Analyze sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for growth
10. Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies, and make recommendations to improve the organization's operations.
Qualifications and Educational Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or related discipline
Knowledge, Experience and Competences
• Minimum Eight (8) years experience in Sales with a bias in Medical appliances and supplies. Two(2) of which should be in a managerial role.
• Demonstrate a high degree of sensitivity, confidentiality when dealing with internal and external customers;
• A go-getter, enthusiastic, results oriented with excellent interpersonal, communication and social skills;
• A relationship builder with impeccable business negotiation skills;
• Proven track record in achieving targets and selling to customer needs;
• Strong leadership skills with hands-on capability and management style with an ability to grow, support and develop talent within the company;
• Have a high sense of accuracy, attention for detail and with strong analytical ability.
• Business acumen, strategic thinker with ability to make sound decisions for the business
• Have good numeracy, problem analysis and reporting skills; and
• Highest level of personal and professional integrity
