Our client is a leading travel company in Kenya that offers personalized safari experiences and adventure tours across East Africa. They seek to hire a Tour Operations Coordinator who will assist the Managing Director in overseeing all aspects of the company’s tour operations. This includes managing customer and partner relationships to ensure seamless planning and execution of tours. The role involves maintaining accurate operational records and creating marketing strategies to enhance the company’s online presence.

Key Responsibilities

Responding promptly to customer inquiries.

  • Creating customer quotes and itineraries using the company’s safari office or other applications.
  • Developing company itineraries and posting them on designated digital marketing platforms.
  • Securing and maintaining signed hotel contract rates in the company’s database.
  • Managing the company’s social media accounts to keep them active and engaging with compelling content.
  • Writing content and blogs for the company’s website to ensure it remains up-to-date.
  • Coordinating with service providers, such as hotels and transportation, to ensure seamless tour execution.
  • Assisting with any additional tasks as agreed upon with the Managing Director

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Tourism, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a similar role within the tourism industry.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in digital marketing and social media management
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Familiarity with itinerary management software and CRM systems
  • Creative writing skills for content creation
