Job Title: Chemical Business Development Representative
Location: Nairobi
Reports To: Sales & Business Development Manager
Employment Type: Full-Time
Key Responsibilities:
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the chemical industry
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients
• Present and promote the company’s range of chemical products to targeted markets
• Analyze customer needs and recommend suitable products or solutions
• Meet and exceed sales targets through strategic selling and market expansion
• Prepare and deliver sales reports, forecasts, and market intelligence
• Represent the company at industry events, exhibitions, and client meetings
• Provide feedback on customer preferences, market trends, and competitor activity
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction
Qualifications and Experience:
• Minimum of a Diploma in Chemistry, Sales & Marketing, or a related field
• Bachelor’s degree is an added advantage
• At least 2–3 years of experience in chemical sales or related business development roles
• Strong knowledge of chemical products and their applications in industrial or commercial sectors
• Excellent business acumen, communication, and negotiation skills
• Self-driven, proactive, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision
• Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software is a plus
• Must indicate preferred region of operation in the application
