Job Summary
The Booklist Associate, will play a pivotal role in contributing towards the achievement of our mission. The job holder will be responsible for promoting and selling educational and stationery materials to schools, booksellers, and other customers through strategic visits. The ultimate aim is to meet sales targets and grow our market share.

Job Description/Requirements
Position Overview:
We are currently seeking dynamic and result-oriented professionals to join our team as Booklist Associates/Business development Executive in the Regions below;
· Nairobi – 3 vacancies.
· Narok – 1 vacancy.
· Kericho – 1 vacancy.
· Mwingi/Garissa – 1 vacancy.
· Mt Kenya Region – 1 vacancy.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategically visit schools in the assigned region, showcasing our books and stationery to secure placements on their booklists, thereby ensuring a significant increase in sales volumes.
2. Engage with bookshops, actively pursuing orders while fostering strong relationships to enhance repeat business and sustained growth.
3. Plan and implement an effective sales and marketing program within the region, aiming for maximum market penetration and revenue generation.
4. Expand our presence in the non-school market, particularly targeting NGOs, to establish a steady and non-seasonal stream of business.
5. Implement effective debt collection strategies within the region to ensure timely payments and minimize outstanding balances.
6. Cultivate and maintain excellent relationships with various stakeholders, including students, teachers, school managers, booksellers, education officials, and corporates, for customer satisfaction and loyalty.
7. Gather valuable feedback on the reception of our products, keeping schools and booksellers informed about our latest releases.
8. Provide timely and accurate daily reports to the management with a focus on achieving sales targets.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree or Higher Diploma in Education, Sales, or Marketing.
· Two (2) years’ experience in educational sales. Teaching experience, or experience working with a publisher.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Candidate must be well versed with the region preferred.
· Prior experience in schools’ activities and sales in schools and education sector will be an added advantage.
