HR Assistant
As an HR Assistant at our dynamic ecommerce company, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Human Resources department in various administrative tasks and activities.
You will contribute to the smooth and efficient operation of HR processes, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations while fostering a positive and engaging work environment.
Responsibilities:
1. Recruitment and Onboarding:
○ Assist in posting job openings on various platforms and the company website.
○ Screen resumes and applications, coordinating interviews, and conducting initial phone screenings.
○ Support the onboarding process for new hires, including paperwork, orientation, and introductions to company policies.
2. Employee Records:
○ Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in the HRIS (Human Resources Information System).
○ Ensure the completeness of employee files, both digital and physical copies.
3. Benefits Administration:
○ Assist employees with benefits-related inquiries and provide guidance on available benefits.
○ Collaborate with benefits providers to ensure accurate enrollment, changes, and terminations.
4. Employee Relations:
○ Help organise and coordinate employee engagement activities, such as team-building events and recognition programs.
○ Assist in addressing basic employee inquiries and concerns, routing more complex issues to appropriate HR personnel.
5. Compliance and Policies:
○ Assist in the implementation and communication of HR policies and procedures.
○ Ensure compliance with labour laws and regulations in all HR activities.
6. Data Management:
○ Compile and generate HR-related reports and data for analysis and decision-making.
○ Assist in compiling metrics related to employee turnover, recruitment, and other HR areas.
7. Training and Development:
○ Coordinate logistics for training sessions and workshops.
○ Help track employee training and development progress.
8. Assistance to HR Team:
○ Provide administrative support to the HR team, including scheduling meetings, preparing materials, and maintaining calendars.
Qualifications:
● Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
● Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
● Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
● Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and HRIS software.
● Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
● Demonstrated teamwork and interpersonal skills.
● Prior experience in HR or administrative roles is a plus.
