Job Summary
Our client is a leading paper packaging manufacturer in Kenya and the East Africa region. They seek to hire a Market Developer to research and develop marketing and sales strategies. The ideal candidate will research and execute marketing strategies, open new outlets, manage customer relationships, track sales data, and meet monthly sales targets.

Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities
- Answer customers’ questions about products, prices, availability, product uses, and credit terms.
- Meeting daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets
- Handling customer complaints in liaison with quality and production to provide timely feedback on the complaint raised.
- Researching prospects and generating leads.
- Preparing and sending quotes and proposals.
- Build and maintain relationships with clients and prospects
- Stay current with trends and competitors to identify improvements or recommend new products.
- Collect and analyze information and prepare data and sales reports
- Liaise with Dispatch/ sales admin/customer support to ensure goods are delivered to customer on time.
- Consult with clients after sales or contract signings to resolve problems and provide on-going support.
- Contact regular and prospective customers to demonstrate products, explain product features, and solicit orders.
- Identify prospective customers by using business directories, following leads from existing clients extra.
- Monitor market conditions, product innovations, and competitors’ products, prices and sales.
- Provide customer with product samples and catalogues.
- Recommend products to customers based on customers’ needs and interests.
- Timely collection of payment
- Build and maintain professional networks
- Any other duties as and when assigned by the Management from time to time.
Requirements
- Degree/Diploma in Sales & Marketing or any related field.
- 5yrs previous experience in an industrial manufacturing process environment.
- Experience working in coast region
- Experience in sourcing and recruiting FMCG distributers will be an added advantage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Self-starter with high sense of responsibility
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills among all levels in the organization
- Opening/recruitment of new Customers.
- Reactivation of Dormant accounts per month.
- Prospecting & introducing our products to clients.
- Ability to understand and resolve customer and process related problems
- Product Knowledge
- Proven customer support experience

- Customer Service relationship management.
