RADIO -SORNOGRAPHER

Perform routine and specialized X-ray and ultrasound examinations as requested by authorized clinicians.

1. Obtain accurate patient history and relevant clinical information before examinations.

2. Prepare patients appropriately and explain procedures clearly to ensure cooperation and comfort.

3. Position patients correctly and select appropriate imaging techniques and protocols.
4. Produce high-quality diagnostic images for interpretation by qualified medical practitioners/radiologists.
5. Operate, maintain and perform basic troubleshooting of radiology and ultrasound equipment.
6. Ensure proper identification, labeling, storage and confidentiality of patient images and records.
7. Observe radiation protection and safety measures for patients, staff and visitors.

8. Maintain strict infection prevention and control practices during all procedures.

9. Monitor equipment performance and report faults promptly to the appropriate authority.
10. Maintain accurate imaging registers, examination records and departmental statistics.

11. Ensure proper use and accountability of imaging supplies and consumables.

12. Participate in quality assurance and quality improvement activities within the imaging department.
13. Work collaboratively with doctors, nurses, laboratory staff and other healthcare professionals.
14. Provide appropriate emergency assistance and promptly escalate any concerning findings or patient deterioration to the responsible clinician.
15. Maintain professional ethics, patient confidentiality and respectful communication at all times.
16. Participate in continuing professional development and training.
17. Perform any other duties related to imaging services as assigned by management.
