Role: Sales Team Leader

Location: HQ - Nairobi

Reports to: General Manager – Situ Investments Ltd


JOB PURPOSE

This position is responsible for overseeing the departmental operations, providing leadership to the sales team, and coordinating the sales and marketing activities for the achievement of the sales target of the branch.


MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE JOB

Detailed description of the tasks performed by the job holder

a) Develop and implement sales strategies while leading and supporting the sales team to achieve targets.

b) Drive effective selling of products and organize activations to boost brand awareness.

c) Ensure high-quality service by addressing inquiries and resolving complaints efficiently.

d) Regularly visit clients and maintain consistent communication to strengthen relationships.

e) Ensure all activities align with SITU policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.

f) Set targets, monitor performance, and conduct appraisals to drive team success.

g) Grow the customer base, explore new markets, and implement effective marketing strategies.

h) Recruit, train, mentor, and guide new and existing sales personnel.

i) Oversee departmental assets, safeguard client data, and ensure budget compliance.

j) Submit timely reports, facilitate team meetings, and collaborate with credit and other

departments.

k) Performing any other tasks as may be assigned by management


Minimum level of academic and professional qualification required to perform effectively in the role.

a) Diploma/Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.


Minimum level of experience required to perform effectively in the role

3-5 years working experience in sales of which three should be in a supervisory role.
