Position: Associate Consultant – Trade Finance & Treasury

Location: Neptune Software (K) Limited 

Reports to: Senior Business Consultant/ Wholesale Banking

Job Summary

The Associate Consultant – Trade Finance & Treasury supports Neptune’s banking and financial clients by delivering expert advisory operational solutions across Treasury and Trade Finance functions in banking software. Client support is provided through requirements gathering, implementation and support of Treasury and Trade Finance system functionalities.

Key Responsibilities

· Support the client in managing Treasury products which include money market dealings, fixed income investments and foreign exchange operations.

· Support the client in managing ALM and liquidity management in treasury operations.

· Give support to the client in utilizing dealing systems to process transactions and monitor treasury functions.

· Ensure compliance with IFRS, the Financial Institutions Act (FIA) 2004 and amendments, and other regulatory requirements.

· Support the client in managing Trade Finance Operations which include Import Letters of Credit, documentary collections and Bank Guarantees.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver client solutions in Trade Finance which includes integrations such as SWIFT Integration.

· System Configuration: Customize and configure software applications to meet organizational needs.

· Requirement Analysis: Gather, document, and validate business requirements from stakeholders.

· Training and Support: Educate end-users, facilitate adoption, and provide ongoing support.

· Project Collaboration: Work with technical consultants, project managers, and cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.

· Prepare reports, presentations, and analysis to support senior consultants and management.

· Process Design: Develop workflows and processes aligned with business objectives

· Testing and Troubleshooting: Conduct system testing, identify issues, and ensure solutions function correctly before deployment.

· Build strong client relationships through effective communication and advisory support.

· Proactively accept responsibility and focused to reach goals which generate an immediate benefit for the client and at the same time identify and negotiate billable services.

· Carry out any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Required Skills and Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in Economics, International Business, Business Administration or any other related discipline in line with the position.

· Professional certifications such as CFA, ACI, ACT (Association of Corporate Treasurers), or equivalent is an advantage.

· Ongoing professional development in treasury management, trade finance, or risk management preferred

· Minimum 3 years of banking experience, with at least 2 years in treasury and trade finance.

· Strong knowledge of liquidity management, money market operations, and treasury products.

· Good understanding of corporate banking functions and trade finance instruments.

· Familiarity with IFRS and FIA 2004 (and amendments).

· Proficiency in treasury dealing systems and operational processes.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills; fluency in English required.

· Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.

· Demonstrated ability to perform under pressure and deliver results in stressed environments.

· Team-oriented mindset with the ability to influence and work through others, even without direct reporting lines.
