Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified and compassionate Clinical Officer to join our healthcare team in Kitengela. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing quality outpatient and inpatient clinical services, conducting patient assessments, diagnosing and treating common medical conditions, and promoting quality healthcare in line with professional standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Examine, diagnose, and treat patients presenting with acute and chronic illnesses.
  • Prescribe appropriate medications and treatment plans.
  • Order, interpret, and document laboratory and diagnostic test results.
  • Provide emergency and first-line medical care when required.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medical records.
  • Refer patients to specialists or higher-level facilities when necessary.
  • Educate patients on disease prevention, treatment plans, and healthy lifestyle practices.
  • Ensure compliance with Ministry of Health guidelines and professional standards.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to deliver quality patient care.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery from a recognized institution.
  • Minimum of 2 years' relevant clinical experience.
  • Valid registration and a current practicing license from the Clinical Officers Council (COC).
  • Good clinical judgment and diagnostic skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and patient-centered care.
