Job summary

To provide full care to patients including but not limited to, diagnose& treat diseases, injuries and malfunctions of teeth and gums and related oral structures, along with giving advice and administering care to help prevent future problems.

Job descriptions & requirements

Ø Key Duties and responsibilities


Diagnose and provide appropriate dental treatment to patients, including regular cleanings, root canals, surgical extractions and other general dentistry procedures.

Ø  Educate patients on preventive care and oral hygiene practices

Ø  Mentor and support junior dental assistants to ensure high standards of care and teamwork.

Ø  Collaborate with the dental team on treatment plan and communicate effectively with relevant staff regarding patient care.

Ø  Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with clinical protocols.

Ø  Manage dental supplies and equipment stock to ensure availability and readiness.

Ø  Adhere to hospital policies, procedures and quality standards.

Ø  Support departmental initiatives aimed at improving service delivery and increasing patient engagement

 

Key Qualification and Experience Requirements

Ø  Bachelor of Dental Surgery from an institution duly recognized by the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentist Council.

Ø  Registration Certificate by the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council.

Ø  Valid practicing license from Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council

Ø  Must possess a professional indemnity cover.

Ø  At least three years of  work experience in a busy dental clinic.
