HEAD TEACHER (PRIMARY)
Job summary
The Head Teacher – Primary leads the Primary Section, ensuring excellent teaching, student welfare, staff supervision, and smooth operation. This role reports to the School Administrator and works closely with the Director of Studies.
Job descriptions & requirements
• Lead the Primary Section, promoting a positive learning environment
• Supervise and support teaching staff, including professional development
• Ensure consistent application of discipline and student welfare policies
• Implement academic plans in coordination with the DOS
• Engage with parents and maintain positive relationships
• Oversee day-to-day operations of the Primary Section
REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education or related field
• At least 5 years of experience in a leadership role within a school
• Knowledge of local curriculum and at least one international curriculum (e.g., IB, Cambridge, IGCSE)
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Proven ability to manage staff, students, and parent relationships effectively
