Job Description/Requirements

About the Role

As our HR & Administration Team Leader, you will play a crucial role in overseeing both our human resources and administrative functions, ensuring the smooth operation and efficient management of our team and resources. Key Responsibilities:

 Human Resources Management:

o Implement HR policies and procedures in line with local labor laws and organizational values.

o Manage employee relations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary processes.

o Administer payroll, benefits, and compensation.

o Maintain accurate HR records and ensure data confidentiality.


 General Administration & Operations:

o Supervise general administrative tasks, ensuring efficient office operations.

o Manage office supplies, equipment, and facilities.

o Oversee procurement processes and vendor management.

o Ensure compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.

o Develop and implement administrative procedures to improve efficiency.


 Accounting Oversight & Support:

o Provide essential support and oversight for general accounting and financial record-keeping, working closely with the accounting team.

o Assist with budget monitoring, expense tracking, and financial report preparation for administrative and


HR functions.

o Ensure proper documentation and adherence to financial procedures.

o Support tax-related documentation and compliance efforts where applicable to administrative and HR financial processes.


Team Leadership:

o Lead and support the HR and Administration team members.

o Foster a positive, collaborative, and productive work environment.

o Ensure effective communication and coordination within the team and across departments.


 Reporting & Compliance:

o Prepare comprehensive HR and administrative reports.

o Ensure all operations comply with relevant legal and organizational standards.


Who We're Looking For

We are seeking a seasoned and dedicated professional with a proven track record in HR and administration, coupled with a commitment to our mission.


Demonstrated Skills and Competencies:

 Experience: A minimum of 5+ years of progressive experience in Human Resources and Administration, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.

 HR Expertise: Strong knowledge of HR principles, best practices, and Kenyan labor laws.

 Financial Acumen: Proficiency in general accounting principles and practices; CPA certification ispreferred.

 Leadership & Management: Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop a team. Excellent organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills.

 Communication: Excellent oral and written communication skills, including report writing and presentation abilities.

 Interpersonal Skills: Ability to maintain positive, collaborative, and productive relationships with colleagues at all levels and external stakeholders.

 Analytical & Problem-Solving: Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to devise creative solutions to complex problems and issues.

 Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.

 Independence & Teamwork: Ability to work independently and as part of a broader leadership team, prioritizing multiple tasks effectively.

 Confidentiality: Demonstrated ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with the utmost discretion and integrity.

 Technical Proficiency: Proficient in computer skills; Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., formulas, pivot tables, data analysis) & familiarity with HRIS and accounting software is a plus.

 Language Skills: The ability to communicate fluently in English and Swahili will be an added advantage.

 Preference: Preference will be given to qualified candidates with disabilities, aligning with our commitment to social inclusion and diversity.
